Thanksgiving Dinner

the thanksgiving weekend felt so short! on thanksgiving evening we went to our boss' house to have the turkey dinner. he just had a back surgery, which went well, so it was a great opportunity for us to visit him and we're very happy that he's doing well (in fact, he'll be flying to italy on tuesday for a conference). we had a great time.

i didn't go anywhere on black friday. i thought, since i stayed home the last 4 black fridays, this time i should at least go to macy's, the nearest department store, and buy something (not that i needed anything in particular from there). well, i woke up late and was too lazy to go outside before noon. i managed to buy stuff online though (at neiman marcus and kate spade).

Indonesian Cultural Club at Bali to Bala 2011

one of the highlights of the weekend was our performance at the opening night of Bali to Bala 2011 yesterday. we performed two balinese dances: rejang (for the new dancers) and sekar jagat (for the not-so-new dancers, including me). we managed to wow the audience and generate more inquiries. it was fun, as always.

while i was dancing, hubby was feeling a little under the weather yesterday, he believed it was because he stayed home all day and was not exposed to fresh air. so today we decided to go outside. we took the subway to university city, had brunch, and walked back (we live in old city) for about 40 blocks. it took us 3 hours to walk... well, we stopped by some parks, watched a freight train going by underneath the bridge (i know, sounds lame, but we enjoyed it), window shopping along walnut street, etc. i think he got all the fresh air exposure he needed with those 3 hours of walking. and i got sore feet... :) (my own fault, my walking shoes have a bit of heels).
