holiday parties are lining up... and some of my dresses are not working for me. i am one of those who would buy something because it's pretty (or on sale) even though it does not fit perfectly; i would buy it anyway hoping that one day it would work, but it just never does. now, i have to let some of those go...

this dress below is super; i love it to the the t. the fabric, the color, the cut, the style... (nearly) everything. the only problem is the waist is a tad too low for me, so it looks boxy on top (getting size 2 does not help me either, as i typically wear size 0 in kate spade, but that was the smallest size available when i purchased it). i wore the dress once for a business luncheon under a blazer... (when i wrote that sentence, a part of me tried to convince myself to keep the dress: "it works under a blazer!!!"), but i will not be able to wear it alone and appreciate its true beauty :) unless i grow a couple of inches more. so, it has been hanging in my garment rack for the whole year. it's time to let it go (sold).

i have a few other things listed on ebay for a fraction of the retail price, like kate spade new york Dana dress in size XS (bidding started) and Lilly Pulitzer Allegra dress in size 2. i hope they will get more use (and appreciation) from others.
