| Rosenborg Castle & Garden |
i had a great day strolling around copenhagen today. the city was much more alive compared to yesterday. the only downside was the fact that museums and castles are closed on mondays (bummer!). i decided to go straight to stroget from the central station, via town hall plaza, and then turn to christiansborg palace. it was so nice out there, i ended up retracing the path i took yesterday and attempted to take the same photos. i went up to the round tower, which was under renovation (it was a surprise to see the ticket booth gone, it was the thing i particularly memorized from yesterday: get the ticket at that booth!). i had to walk half way through to get the ticket (by then, no turning back LOL). the view from the round tower was quite nice. from the tower, i looked into different directions to decide where i should go next. and it was the king's garden, the garden of rosenborg castle. the castle was closed, but the garden was really beautiful. i imagine it should be super pretty in spring.
i'm already in helsingborg now (i took the train from copenhagen central station at 4 pm and arrived in helsingborg at 5:20 pm). my hotel room* is quite nice and the free internet is certainly a plus. the conference will start on wednesday, but there is a PhD workshop tomorrow that i have to attend (i'll be facilitating a workshop late afternoon). i guess this is the end of leisure trip for me, business starts tonight :)

Breathtaking! I especially love that...how do you call it...tree lanes?? Anyway, they are neat! The silhouetted horse statue kind of reminds me of date masamune here :D Good luck with the workshop, Dr. Iis!
ReplyDeletefaith: thanks! now i have to prepare my workshop and figure out how to get to the university from the hotel :)
ReplyDeleteatid: there are multiple rows of those tree-liners :) i really want to see it in summer. i remember date masamune :).
